JūHū is a project starting in Latvia that aims to fight stigmatization of people with disabilities, to help their integration in the society and improve their living conditions.

In Latvia people with disabilities are earning 1/2 of the minimum self subsistence wadge and are rarely part of the society. It is extremely important for us to work with the disabled clients for their skills and not using them as a cheap labor force, therefore collaborating closely with the social structures to improve their lives and living condition.

People with disabilities are too often considered to be more susceptible to commit crimes or be violent when the reality shows that they are 11 times more likely to be the victims of such acts.

It all begins by changing the attitude we have toward them, change the minds toward a more inclusive society.

You can read more about the project on www.juuhuu.co (the new website will be online in June).

If you want to help us making it happen with your skills, your donations or contact, feel free to contact me, we are always looking forward to have a bigger impact.
